He is the honorary recipient of the "SATYA LENCANA WIRA KARYA PEMBANGUNAN", an award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

He is the founder and former head of the APJII (Indonesia Internet Service Provider Association), founder of the PANDI organization (Indonesia Internet domain name registry) and also the Board of Advisors for FTII (Indonesia Information and Technology Federation).
